Voga with Jess
In the second of a series of blog posts about freelancers and how they’ve been adapting to the crazy times we live in, this week I’ll be focusing the spotlight on Jess, one of the instructors from House of Voga. This year we can probably all do with a good dose of serotonin and confidence boost. If you are looking for a way to get fit and have FUN at the same time this might be the workout you’ve been looking for. By now, I can’t remember when was the last time I was out dancing... When I had the chance to try Jess’s class the other day, it reminded me how much I needed to get my body moving to the beat. Set to 80’s house music and designed to empower, I can assure you that if you love to dance, you will love this workout.
Vogue is a style of dance originated in the late 1980’s in the Harlem ballroom scene. It gained exposure with Madonna’s song and her video “Vogue” in 1990. Inspired by this classic hit, VOGA is about striking strong, confident, aligned poses to increase flexibility, energy flow, and boost confidence and serotonin. While yoga reduces stress and increases calm and balance, physical and mental, VOGA also answers the cardiovascular demand that ensures a healthy heart and expressive soul. It’s a fabulously fun way to get fit, burning calories and improving blood circulation and detoxification whilst strengthening mind and body. Feel the burn and watch the effect, as you target key areas to sculpt and shape your physique. It’s for those who like the idea of yoga, but want a cardio workout that'll have you moving to the beat, too.
While in studio classes slowly make a comeback, catch one of her free IG Live 30 minutes takeovers in her @jesssudgen account so you can give it a try and see what the fuss is about. You can find live 10 to 45 minutes workouts to do from your living room on her website.
Wherever you are, make sure you dress to impress and get ready to strike a pose.
